Brief
THRM is a B2B specialist in high-performance thermal blankets, targeting industries requiring reliable heat retention, insulation and protection solutions. The challenge was to create a modern short word brand identity that feels cutting-edge and trustworthy, distilling complex thermal science into a simple, scalable visual system. It needed to integrate seamlessly across packaging, digital assets, trade show materials and technical documentation, emphasising minimalism while signaling industrial strength and innovation for discerning B2B corporate buyers.
Design
I designed a scientific-minimalist logo centered on Helvetica Neue sans-serif typography in lowercase with tighter kerning to evoke the snug, protective fit of THRM's blankets while projecting precision and authority. The core symbol fuses hexagons into a diamond-style form, evoking protective insulation structures and the laser-cut precision of advanced materials.
The proposed design direction centres on carbon black as the base, aqua blue for the circling hexagons in the logo, and a central orange palette to denote heat and laser. This motif anchors a flexible system built on modular grids, ensuring scalability from tiny labels to data sheets onto digital applications and large‑format signage, while the pairing of negative space and fine lines maintains a sleek, tech‑forward aesthetic that aligns with THRM’s promise of engineered warmth and durability.
